So, I've been going back through alot of my work looking for portfolio images. I realized this. I don't hate shooting weddings. At all, in fact. There's things that happen at weddings that happen none of the rest of the time. Weird ritualized things. Also, if there are big dresses involved I am so there. I love that stuff.

My Pj class is doing some stories on the current economic situation. We started with some environmental portraits. My friend Joe's department is being laid-off. Lucky for Joe, he is awesome and he got another job. However, I visited him on one of his last days of work, he showed me around the emptiness and I interview him.

A question of if the surburbs incases the American Dream or if it's been skewed somewhere along the way. So, when I photographed the "Parade of Gold" today, I sort of cut off alot of heads. It's a bad habit. I love cutting off peoples head. It adds a sort of anonymity to the subjects. Like a fill-in-the-blank. The feeling that It could be me or someone I know.

We went to this doughnut place called Krumpe Do-nut. They ship there doughtnuts out, but if you go while they're baking (from about 8pm-2am) you can buy them right off the rack. They're amazing.
